Primary 6/7 news
At the moment we are enjoying our class novel study, Holes by Louis Sachar. We are doing lots of work around characters in the book and making lots of predictions as to what may happen next.
At the end of last term we had a visit from Mrs McHallam from Visit Scotland. She came to speak to use about tourism in Perthshire, discuss the key tourist attractions and what it is about Perthshire that attracts visitors. We are currently making our own displays for tourists to provide information about places to visit in Perthshire and hope to be able to display these in public places.
As part of our Perthshire context, we have been exploring Perthshire Photography and creating our own landscape images. As a class enterprise we will be selling Perth Rotary Calendars, which contain 12 photographs of Perthshire. The calendars are prices £10, £8 of which we can keep as profit for the school funds. In addition to the calendar, you £10 also gets you into a monthly cash draw. These calendars would make great Christmas presents. A separate letter is enclosed in the family folder. We hope you will consider buying a calendar.
Congratulations to Sean Martin and Fergus Pollock, in Primary 7, who have been selected to play football in the Perth and Kinross Primary Schools’ Football Squad. The boys will be attending the SFA 2020 elite youth training programme designed to develop the best talent in the area.
