Our Nursery Day
At Auchtergaven Nursery our staff work in partnership with parents and the school to create a warm, positive learning environment.
Learning in nursery is developed through active learning experiences, planned by staff to give your child opportunities to explore experiment, play, create, imagine, reflect and develop.
We encourage parents/carers to become involved in life in the nursery, and we always warmly welcome you to come and join us for a play and stay session.

Outdoor Learning
Outdoor play is an important aspect of a child’s physical development and well-being. Children will have access to the nursery garden every day. We also regularly use our school playground and venture into our local woods for a walk with the help of parent/carers.
Please ensure your child comes to nursery each day dressed appropriately for the Scottish weather, which can be very changeable. When it is warm, it is important that your child wears a hat and sunscreen to protect them. Equally important, when the weather is colder, please ensure that he/she comes to nursery with a warm, waterproof coat, hat and gloves as we will be outdoors in all weathers!
